Clear and light gold in colour.  A nose of aromatic herbs, lavender, rosemary and thyme.  Palate is hefty, soft and creamy textured with salivating acidity and lingering lemon sherbet length.  Ripe peach and citrus fruits add layers of complexity.  A wine to savour now or age to 2024.

19+/20 - Raymond Chan

Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light lemon-green hues, paler on the rim. The nose is aromatically rich with intense, ripe lime fruit melded with exotic jasmine florals along with nuances of sherbet and minerals. The depth and tautness, along with penetration and intensity is a feature. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has rich, bright and intense flavours of lime fruit entwined with white and yellow florals, jasmine elements, and sherbet and minerals. The mouthfeel is lively and zesty revealing enrichening honied elements. The wine flows along a fine line of fruit extract and textures with plenty of energy and drive, carrying to a long, sustained, racy finish of exotic citrus and floral notes. This is a brisk and racy dry Riesling with exotic citrus and floral fruit along with sherbet, honied and mineral nuances on a fine-textured linear palate. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 5-6 years. Predominantly clone 239 fruit, with no botrytis, from three high sloped sites, two with limestone and one with clay, hand-picked, given a short skin soak, WBP, and cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 4.72 g/L RS, TA 5.9 g/L and pH 3.33, the wine undergoing batonnage.

94 Points - Bob Campbell MW

Off-dry riesling with lime, citrus, chalk, mineral and wild flower flavours. An initial hint of sweetness is balanced by tangy acidity to give the wine a pleasing tension while extending a lengthy finish. A pure, high energy wine.

94 Points - Cameron Douglas

Fragrant and floral with a soft white spice; suggestions of mandarin, rose, red apple and lemon; a natural ferment energy. On the palate – crisp. dry, plenty of texture and flavours reflective of the nose with lemon and apple, white spice and floral moments; a mineral layer of chalk/limestone adds depth and complexity. Long finish – a lovely example. Drink now and through 2026.

95 Points - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)

An outstanding riesling; the impressively expressed nose shows mandarin, lemon peel, spice and candied apple characters. The palate is superbly concentrated and focused, and delivers juicy fruit intensity together with rich texture and complexity, leading to an extremely long, engaging finish. A gorgeous dry style offering loads of delicious flavours. At its best: now to 2026.

5 Star - Michael Cooper

An interesting take on Riesling and a wine that needs time to reveal its personality. It slowly opens up in the glass and reveals white peach and satsuma flavours. A textural wine that builds across the palate.

92 Points - Ralph Kyte-Powell

A Riesling of character from the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury, New Zealand. The nose offers stone fruit, citrus and floral aromas, while a mouthful reveals good richness and depth with a slight fruit sweetness, well balanced by some tight phenolic structure and mouth-watering acidity. Good with shellfish or abalone dishes.

93 Points - James Suckling

Impressive peach, nectarine and lime meringue aromas. The palate has a handy refined and restrained shape and carries a core of white nectarine and lime pastry flavour long. Drink now. Screw cap.
