2015 Erin's Chardonnay
Bright golden hue in the glass and a rich nose layered with peach fuzz, cashews, apricots and custard. Palate is rich and full bodied with liquid honey texture. Subtle oak marries flavours of honey, peach and cream with flinty, salivating acidity lingering on the tongue.
2015 Thomas Brothers' Pinot Noir
Dark ruby red in the glass with a nose of blackberries, black Doris plum, subtle oak, allspice and rosemary. Palate has a rich velvety texture with beautifully integrated soft tannins and flavours of dark red fruits, cocoa nib, black coffee and fresh Portobello mushrooms.

Made from grapes grown on Greystone’s steepest block of limestone-rich vineyard with a North-West aspect. Rich, nutty nose with a hint of caramel. Intense, flavoursome wine with cashew nut, peach, tree fruit, spicy oak and bran biscuit flavours. High alcohol (14.5% ) adds a little warmth to the palate. A perfect balance of acidity prevents any suggestion of cloying in this big, powerful chardonnay. Drink 2017 to 2023

Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is full and softly concentrated with good density of ripe citrus fruit and yellow stonefruit aromas harmoniously melded with mealy notes and nutty oak, along with toasty elements, unfolding creamy barrel-ferment and flinty nuances. Full-bodied, the palate is well-packed with deep and dense flavours of ripe citrus fruit and yellow stonefruits interwoven with mealy notes, nutty oak and flinty minerals. The palate has a very concentrated, flavoursome core with power and drive, the wine flowing along a firm textured line. Subtle barrel-ferment creaminess and integrated acidity balances the phenolics, and the wine carries to a fulsome, lingering finish of mealy stonefruits and nutty detail. This is a rich, powerful and concentrated Chardonnay with densely packed, complex flavours of mealy stonefruit and nuts. Match with rich poultry, pork and veal dishes over the next 5-6+ years. Mendoza clone fruit from the ‘Brothers Block’, hand-picked and indigenous yeast barrel-fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 15 months in 50% new French oak with 100% MLF. 44 cases made.

Thomas Brothers' Pinot Noir

Rich, generously proportioned pinot noir with concentrated plum and dark cherry flavours plus a suggestion of floral (possibly rose petal) and fresh herb characters supported by classy oak. The fruit sweetness is perfectly offset by fine, drying and slightly sappy tannins that suggest good cellaring potential. This is a very classy wine indeed.

Ripe and generous bouquet with aromas of red berry fruits – a melding of cherry, strawberry and plum, these are underpinned with abundant oak and mineral scents. On the palate – crisp, firm, tense, youthful and dry. Flavours reflect the nose with wild berries and florals, plenty of mineral and wood spice; fine to moderate tannins with silky needle point moments, medium+ acidity and lengthy unfurling finish. Drink now if decanted with ideal window from 2018 through 2028.

Dark ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, showing good depth, a little lighter on the rim. This has a firmly concentrated nose with a rounded core of ripe dark-red berry fruit entwined with nuances of red plums, along with subtle notes of herbs and lifted dark-red and violet florals in a beautifully harmonious amalgam. Medium full-bodied, the palate is rich and sweet-fruited with flavours of dark-red berry fruits and red plums lifted by red and violet florals. Layers of herbs and savoury earthy detail unfold adding interest. The palate builds in mid-palate richness, flowing smoothly, revealing considerable tannin extraction, the textures very fine-grained and flowery. A fine edge of acidity provides energy and tension, leading to a long, lingering, elegantly proportioned finish of sweet red fruits. This is a rich, sweet, red-fruited Pinot Noir with subtle complexing floral herb and earthy detail, considerable extract, and excellent energy. Match with poultry and pork, lamb, beef and venison dishes over the next 7-9 years. Clones 5 and 115 from ‘The Brothers Block’ hand-picked and sorted, fully destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented. 25% amongst the vines, to 14.0% alc., the wine spending one month on skins and aged 15 months in 70% new French oak. 251 cases made.

This is glorious and gratifying. The beautifully expressed bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, black olive, cedar and violet characters with nuances of clove and bitter chocolate notes. The palate is superbly weighted and concentrated, and exhibits awesome fruit purity together with rich texture and seductive savoury complexity, brilliantly framed by loads of polished tannins.
