Light golden straw in colour. Expressive on the nose with lime, lemon curd and jasmine flower. The palate is defined by a long thread of complex fruits including mandarin, mango and lime zest. Balanced with natural sweetness and acidity this wine will age beautifully or can be enjoyed immediately.

REVIEWS & ACCOLADES

94 Points - Bob Campbell (Master of Wine)

Medium-dry Riesling with appealing lime, citrus, tree fruits, spice, root ginger and delicate floral flavours. The wine has an ethereal texture and a backbone of fine, juicy acidity that gives a little tension. Deliciously drinkable now but with the potential to develop well with bottle age.

95 Points - Cameron Douglas (Master Sommelier)

Engaging and alluring bouquet with complex aromas of wild ferment, lees, flowers, honeysuckle, fresh and baked lemon, apricots and apples. On the palate – off dry in a medium style with immediately contrasting acidity then flavours and textures that reflect the bouquet. Long finish. Drink now and through 2028.

95/100 - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)

A gorgeous riesling; the fabulously fragrant bouquet shows yellow stone fruit, orange peel, mango and floral characters with hints of jasmine and lime zest. The palate is superbly concentrated and richly fruited, while remaining poised and elegant, delivering loads of delectable flavours combined with subtle sweetness and vibrant acidity.

4.5 Stars - Michael Cooper

Greystone sees this wine as 'the truest expression of the variety for us'. Certified organic, the 2017 vintage (4.5*) was hand-picked, with some botrytis ('noble rot') influence. Bright, light lemon/green, it is medium-bodied, with fresh, strong, citrusy, slightly peachy and honeyed flavours, a distinct splash of sweetness (22 grams/litre of residual sugar), crisp acidity and lots of current-drinking appeal.

18.5/20 - Raymond Chan

Bright, light straw-yellow with slight golden tints, pale on the rim.  The nose is elegantly concentrated with a taut and fine core of lime and lemonade fruit along with honied notes, white florals and saline elements entwined with minerals.  Medium-dry to medium to taste, and light-medium bodied, the palate has deeply intense and penetrating flavours of sweetly ripe citrus fruits melded with exotic white florals, honied and musk notes and mineral detail.  The mouthfeel is bright, lively and zesty, with fresh, lacy acidity, the wine flowing along a smooth, unctuous line with some fine, balancing textures.  The wine carries to a long and sustained finish of stone fruits and honey.  This is a beautifully intense, medium-dry Riesling with exotic citrus, floral and honied flavours on an unctuous, but refreshing palate.
